Kim's first memory as a 3 year old was of opening a pea pod  with utter amazement at the peas inside. Pretty much ever since, she has been an avid gardener and lover of nature. Since retiring from Pharmacy in 2019, she has expanded her love of plants by taking up watercolor botanical illustrations. Very much a beginner, she looks forward to learning something new with Mary Harden every week.

As an avid Beekeeper with 3 acres in sonoma, Kim's garden is focused on pollinator  and drought resistant plants which become the inspiration for many of her drawings and paintings. As a core member of the Sonoma County Beekeepers Association "Gardening for Bee's" group, Kim and others are focused on creating sustainable forage for the bees of Sonoma County through Education, Plant nursery sales, and outreach programs to the community.
