Jill Kajouee earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in the late 70s with focuses in drawing and metal sculpture. While growing up in the Midwest she spent much of her childhood outdoors experiencing the beauty of rural nature. After raising her daughters and retiring from over 33 years in the banking industry she decided that it was time to return to creating art. Jill began studying at the Mary L. Harden School of Botanical Illustration in Fall 2012 and received her Master Artist Certificate in May 2014. Jill enjoys watercolor and pen and ink. Her graceful line and a delicate approach give all plant matter beauty and interest. She has participated in exhibits at UCSF Alumni Faculty House, San Bruno Mountain Watch, Lindsey Wildlife Experience, UC Botanical Garden, East Bay Municipal Utility District, Liberty Arts Gallery, Hayward Shoreline Interpretative Center, Strybing Arboretum and Castro Valley Center for the Arts.
