Dolores is a lifelong gardener and student of everything in the natural world.  She enjoys observing and learning about plants, especially California natives, as they move through their life cycles.   Dolores took her first botanical drawing class in 2009, with Mary Harden, at San Francisco Botanical Garden fulfilling a lifelong goal to pursue botanical illustration.  In 2011 she received a Master Artist certificate for completion of the Botanical Illustration Program at the San Francisco Botanical Garden. 

 

She works primarily in watercolors and pen and ink but loves to learn about new media and techniques.

 

Dolores participates is several group exhibits every year.  Her work has been exhibited in juried shows including Hayward Arts Council, and California Native Plant Society Botanical Art and is included in the Alcatraz Florilegium.  Dolores participates in NCalSBA member exhibits.
